Rick Ribstein, a native of Brookings, South Dakota, earned his juris doctorate from the University of South Dakota in 1989. Following a two year judicial clerkship, he returned to Brookings to start his career in 1991. Rick’s general practice includes personal injury, worker’s compensation, social security disability, divorce, criminal law and estate planning. Rick and his wife, Beth, have two grown children.

Tim Hogan
Partner

Tim Hogan, a native of Brookings, South Dakota, earned his juris doctor from Saint Louis University in 1993.  Following a year as a public defender in Missouri, he returned to Brookings to open his own firm. He joined McCann & Ribstein in 1999 as a partner. In 2014 he formed Ribstein & Hogan Law Firm with Rick Ribstein.  Tim’s general practice includes real estate, business planning, criminal law, family law and divorce, bankruptcy, estate planning and probate.  Tim has experience as an owner and developer of a number of real estate developments over the past fifteen years.  Tim and his wife, Kate, keep very busy raising their five children.

Anthony Teesdale
Associate

Anthony J. Teesdale is an associate attorney at Ribstein & Hogan Law Firm. He passionately advocates for the protection of individual liberties. Anthony primarily practices in the areas of criminal law, family law, and constitutional law, as well as assisting students in Title IX and disciplinary proceedings in South Dakota Universities. After growing up in New Jersey, Indiana, and Missouri, Anthony attended the University of South Dakota for both undergraduate and law school. Following law school, Anthony joined Ribstein & Hogan in August of 2015. Anthony and his wife Alexandra enjoy the new adventures from raising their young son.

Anthony is the Brookings County Bar Association President, and keeps involved in his community as Vice Chair of the Junior Achievement Brookings Board of Directors and as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Brookings.  Anthony furthers his passion for access to justice and defense of individual liberties as a member of the Board of Directors for East River Legal Services, Third Circuit Representative of the Young Lawyers Section of State Bar of South Dakota, and Co-Chair of the Law Practice Management committee of the State Bar of South Dakota.

Jordyn Bangasser
Associate

Jordyn Bangasser, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. While at USD, Jordyn was a student tutor in the Spanish Peer Learning Program, a member of several academic honors societies, and a participant in musical organizations such as USD Opera and USD Chamber Singers.

After graduating from undergrad as a USD School of Law Honor Scholar, Jordyn attended the University of South Dakota School of Law where she served as Copy Editor on the South Dakota Law Review, published an article through the same review, and was awarded several Dean’s Certificate for Outstanding Performance awards for earning top grade in classes such as Trial Techniques and Family Law.

Jordyn earned her juris doctorate from the University of South Dakota in 2018, graduating Magna Cum Laude and sixth in her class. Following a one-year judicial clerkship, she joined Ribstein & Hogan in 2019. Jordyn’s general practice includes criminal law, family law, litigation, and Supreme Court appeals.

In her free time, Jordyn enjoys jet-skiing, cooking, singing at her local church, and growing her legal practice.
